Audit Lead

The Client
Our client is a leading global manufacturer. They are a leading international supplier of plastic additives; a leading manufacturer of pool and spa products; a global leader in seed treatment and crop protection; the largest component supplier to the lubricants industry; and a top producer of urethane polymers. This position works at the corporate headquarters campus in the greater Waterbury area.

Responsibilities
The Audit Lead position is responsible for supervising an internal audit team on engagements and for designing and executing audit programs to validate relevant control objectives. The incumbent is responsible for executing SOX testing and documentation activities with consistent quality; analyzing financial transactions for proper financial reporting, compliance with policies, adequacy of internal controls, and operational effectiveness; and recommending solutions to problems identified in test work.

Following a two year period, auditors will have the opportunity to transition into financial operations, controllership, financial analysis, M&A, etc.

Key Selection Criteria
The successful candidate for the auditor position will possess a bachelor’s level education and 3 – 5 years financial experience in a business setting. Additional, the successful candidate will have had experience in public accounting with exposure to SOX and internal control review procedures. Candidates should be prepared to travel up to 40% of the time.

Compensation
The audit lead position offers a base salary is in the $85,000 to $100,000 range. The company also provides a comprehensive fringe benefits program. Finance managers are consistently developed from this program.
