Engineering Manager, Electrical Equipment Products
The Client
Leading international
manufacturer of electrical equipment products. Company maintains multiple manufacturing
locations in the US and abroad. Products reach the customer via a global distribution
network. Markets served include utilities, telecommunications, industrial, lighting,
and individual consumers. Manufacturing processes include stamping, plastics molding,
and high-speed automation.
Location
This position will be located at the Divisional Headquarters location in the
greater Milford, CT area. A relocation package is provided by the client.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the VP
Engineering, this position is responsible for managing professional engineering
resources in the areas of design engineering, manufacturing engineering, tooling,
project engineering, and safety engineering. Will manage project teams in new
product design and re-engineering of existing products.
Selection
Criteria
The successful candidate
will possess a minimum bachelor's level engineering degree (BSME preferred) and
10 - 15 years progressive engineering management experience including product
design/development and management of other engineering professionals. Will possess
an in-depth knowledge of UL & CSA certification processes; motion sensor product
fundamentals; surge suppression fundamentals; metal stamping design; and knowledge
of National Electrical Code.
Compensation
This position provides
a base compensation in the $100,000 - $125,000 range plus bonus incentive opportunity
and comprehensive fringe benefits package. This position will be groomed to become
the VP Engineering within twelve months.
