Rapidly expanding manufacturer/assembler
of components serving the telecommunications industry. This is the HQ location
for North American operations.
Manufacturing operations consist of stamping, molding, and high speed automated
assembly.
Location
The position is located
in the Greater Waterbury, CT area.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director/Operations,
this individual is responsible for managing and coordinating the company's logistics
requirements for both its supplies and customers. This will include overseeing
daily operations of all logistics personnel; ensuring timely and accurate receipt/shipment
of raw materials and finished products; working with purchasing group on freight
contracts and freight handling agreements; and managing the packaging function
to ensure that all labeling is in accordance with customer and company specifications.
Key Selection
Criteria
Minimum bachelor's
level education and 4-6 years progressive experience working in
Shipping/receiving/warehousing function with high volume requirements. Proven
ability
to supervise warehouse personnel to achieve cost-effective operations and experience
utilizing ERP or other automated business distribution software packages.
Compensation
This position offers
a base salary in the range of $55,000 - $70,000 range, plus
bonus opportunity and a comprehensive fringe benefits program.
