The Client
Leading international
manufacturer of electrical equipment products. Company maintains multiple manufacturing
locations in the US and abroad. Products reach the customer via a global distribution
network. Markets served include utilities, telecommunications, industrial, lighting,
and individual consumers. Manufacturing processes include stamping, plastics molding,
metal forming/bending and high-speed automation. This position is located at the
company's Technology Center that supports domestic and international manufacturing
sites.
Responsibilities
This position will
be responsible for developing and implementing new and/or modified manufacturing
methods, tooling and equipment to minimize cost.
Will provide technical support to all manufacturing facilities in support of lean
sigma objectives and interface with product engineering on design of parts and
devices for lean sigma and six sigma quality objectives. Develop test equipment
to measure conformance to agency standards and customer use specifications. Construct
work cells that minimize inventory, maximize response time and provide flexible
equipment/tooling. Additionally, will trouble shoot customer complaints and implement
sustainable corrective actions.
Selection
Criteria
The successful candidate
will possess a bachelor's level degree (BSEE or BSME preferred) and 3 - 5 years
experience in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of electronic products is
desirable and experience with machine controls is a plus.
Compensation
This position provides
a base compensation in the $60 to $75K range depending upon experience and comprehensive
fringe benefits package. Some relocation assistance is provided for this position.
