Operations Process Engineer – Specialty Chemicals

Company
Our client is involved in multiple applications of chemicals. They are a leading international supplier of plastic additives; a leading manufacturer of pool and spa products; and a global leader in seed treatment and crop protection. This position will work in the petroleum additives division focusing on lubrication oils.

Location
The company maintains three facilities in the NJ/NYC area.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this individual is responsible for ensuring daily production requirements are carried out in a safe and efficient manner; analyzing, modifying and upgrading existing processes and procedures; assessing safety and potential environmental impacts of operating units; continually improving safety, efficiency and output of operating units; and ensuring processes operate at optimum level in regards to quality and output

Key Selection Criteria
The successful candidate will possess a minimum bachelor’s level education in a scientific or engineering field coupled with progressive supervisory and engineering experience in a specialty chemicals environment.

Compensation
This position offers a base salary in the $75,000 to $85,000 range plus comprehensive fringe benefits program. Excellent opportunity for career advancement along either engineering or operations path.
