Vice President, Digital Marketing & Analytics

Our client is an internationally recognized leader in the financial services field offering a wide range of products including insurance, money management programs, mutual funds and annuities. The Connecticut campus is a leader in the development of creative new investment products including variable annuities, mutual funds, college savings programs, mutual fund wrap accounts and other investment products.

Responsibilities
In this newly created position, the incumbent will be responsible for establishing the vision, strategy and ongoing evolution of digital marketing initiatives (i.e., online campaigns, social media, mobile applications, interactive video, Web tools, etc.). Additional charges include fostering relationships across the company to build analytic capabilities and reporting tools to measure the effectiveness of the company's' overall marketing efforts; optimizing marketing spend/capacity; driving new business opportunities and deepening relationships with existing clients. This position will report to the Chief Marketing Officer and will be a key member of the marketing function's leadership team.

General Responsibilities

● Define business objectives for investing in digital capabilities and develop actionable business proposals to demonstrate how such investments will strengthen and increase business opportunities.

● Lead the effort to review and evaluate existing digital capabilities, business needs and emerging technologies within the company.
● Build organizational capabilities to create, implement and maintain integrated, user-centric online, mobile and multi-media digital strategies.
● Champion the establishment and growth of marketing analytics to provide insights and make recommendations to measure and improve marketing ROI.
● Establish measurement infrastructure for data capture and reporting, overseeing the application of various quantitative methods to analyze and interpret information from multiple data sources as needed (database, research and syndicated).

Qualifications and Experience

The successful candidate will collaborate with executives across the business to develop a holistic strategy and leverage business analytics to drive revenue enhancement and strategic growth opportunities. Educational requirements will include a Bachelor’s level degree with an MBA being preferred. Additional experience includes:

● Senior marketing level assignments with 10+ years B2B experience in the financial services industry.
● Experience developing e-marketing strategies and campaigns that deliver strong business results.
● Extensive experience developing business cases to get initiatives approved. Demonstrated success initiating and driving start-up initiatives for high-impact results.
● Highly developed critical thinking/analysis skills; ability to evaluate business challenges and develop solutions to support profitable business growth.
● Combination of skills to be able to think strategically, operate at a senior level and also "roll up their sleeves" to do the work, as needed.
● Proven track record of aligning activities with business strategies and measuring impact on business results. Demonstrated effectiveness in a operating within a highly matrixed environment, exhibiting outstanding soft skills to drive consensus among internal and external business partners, particularly technicians.
● Adaptable and able to work in a changing environment. Experience building organizational capabilities and garnering the support of executives and key stakeholders. Demonstrated skills in managing organizational change.

The finalist will also need to obtain FINRA Series 6 and 26 (or equivalent) within 6 months of hire

Compensation
This position provides a base compensation in the $185,000 to $220,000 range depending on experience. Additionally, a generous variable bonus program is offered which can achieve up to 80% of base compensation depending upon achievement of stated goals. A comprehensive fringe benefits program is also offered and the office setting provides many additional amenities.
