Retained
or Dedicated Searches
Recommended for more senior positions (generally $75,000 and over) where qualified
candidates are not likely to be identified through traditional methods. The complexities
of the search, coupled with the responsibilities and industry-specific requirements
of the position, suggest that this type of service is the preferable approach.
Exclusive
Contingency Searches
May be appropriate for professional, scientific and technical positions which
do not lend themselves to the use of the retained/dedicated search due to cost
and/or job level. Instead of using multiple contingency recruiters, a search method
which does not tend to provide a focused service or a targeted effort of candidate
identification, Sims Associates would be granted a period of exclusivity in which
to work towards identifying qualified candidates whose backgrounds fully meet
the clients specifications.

Recruitment Services
Many times, positions are thought to lend themselves to traditional recruitment
advertising as the preferred method of attracting candidates, however organizations
simply may not have sufficient trained staff or inside resources to effectively
mount a cost-effective and comprehensive search utilizing this method. Sims Associates
has extensive experience with this type of service and will customize our efforts
to best accommodate our client. Sims Associates will work with our client as requested
to design the best recruitment advertising, screen all resumes, conduct initial
face-to-face interviews and prepare a list of "finalists" for the client
to interview.
Research
Services
For those situations where the client has adequate in-house human resources to
handle the administrative aspects of the recruitment process, but requires timely
identification of potential candidates, Sims Associates will perform candidate
research activities on an hourly fee basis. Activities to be performed include
developing a list of competitors, cold-calling competitors, web based searches
for candidates with competitor background, initial contact of potential candidates
to determine interest, salary requirements and availability, and forwarding of
resumes to the client for follow-up activity.
